Caprolactam storage facility

SAR USA carried out the electrical installation of a storage tank facility for liquid Caprolactam at the end customer Elkamet. The facility serves the purpose of metering the Caprolactam for the production of fuel tanks.

The liquid Caprolactam is metered into 2 containers at a time (accuracy of under +/- 1kg) and displaced with additives. From these containers the material is pumped to a machine for the production of the fuel tanks. This facility has been installed by SAR for the company Schrader according to UL-standard procedures.

The facility was installed last year in November and commissioned before Christmas. Mid January the entire facility was ready for production. The official start of production took place at the end of April.
