Automatic release agent application at a tyre manufacturer

SAR commissioned a process that applies release agent for a tyre manufacturer.
 
An intake feed with two Robots and in each case a spray booth for the treatment of 120 different tyre types has been integrated. Set quantities and surface areas according to the tyre types can be individually adjusted.
 
The cycle time amounts to <10 Seconds and can be adapted towards the requirements of production. Should one of the dual production lines fail, production can still proceed on a single side.
 
Quality control

A database transfers the tyre type. The process takes over the necessary control to monitor, with reference to the data, the weight, size such as inner and outer diameter or the tyre height. After applying the release agent the database records the relevant data such as the quantity applied, date stamp and the actual weight.
 
Should the quality control fail, the tyre is automatically rejected.
